A CBS News/YouGov poll finds 60% of Democrats hold a favorable view of socialism. Just 32% say the same about capitalism.
- 18% of Democrats view socialism negatively; 50% view capitalism negatively.
- 71% of college-educated Democrats favor socialism, versus 16% who view it unfavorably.
- Among the general public, capitalism rates 46% favorable versus socialism's 35% favorable.
- 54% of Republicans support price controls, along with 75% of Democrats and 62% of independents.
