Trump Pledges $400 Million to Boost GOP Midterm Campaigns
President Donald Trump said Tuesday on Truth Social that he will have spent over $400 million helping Republicans by Election Day.
$300 million already spent on ads, rallies and voter outreach, Trump said.
$200 million is what MAGA Inc. has spent, per public records.
Trump cited unrest in France as a reason for the spending.
$80 million is what Michael Bloomberg has given Democrats this fall.
Why it matters: Trump's money is a large share of a multibillion-dollar fight over Congress. He did not say which of his political groups his figures cover.
$2.2 billion in Republican ad spending versus $1.8 billion for Democrats.
Republicans had worried Trump would save MAGA Inc. funds for 2028.
