Decades of trickle-down economics offshored manufacturing jobs, slashed public investment, and hollowed out communities that were once the backbone of our nation’s growth. My Administration has made historic investments to help left-behind communities, such as distressed areas, factory towns, and coal communities, turn setbacks into comebacks.Today, I am signing an Executive Order to ensure this support continues, and that left-behind communities have access to the resources they need. Thanks to policies like these, and the commitment of local leaders, places across the country – rural and urban, red and blue – have renewed hope.###ShareShare this page on FacebookShare this page on Xhttps://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2025/01/19/statement-from-president-joe-biden-on-the-executive-order-to-help-left-behind-communities-make-a-comeback/?utm_source=link HomeThe RecordThe IssuesBriefing RoomThe AdministrationExecutive OfficesThe White HouseEspañol Contact UsPrivacy PolicyCopyright PolicyAccessibility Statement InstagramOpens in a new windowFacebookOpens in a new windowXOpens in a new windowYouTubeOpens in a new windowThreadsOpens in a new window The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW Washington, DC 20500 WH.gov Scroll to Top Scroll to Top Top
