Roberts, Jr.:I am authorized to announce that the Court has acted upon all cases submitted to the Court fordecision this Term. Disposition of items considered at conference yesterday will be reflected on anOrder List that will be released at 10:45 a.m. today. The Court will then be in recess from todayuntil the first Monday in October 2022, at which time the October 2021 Term of the Court will beadjourned, and the October 2022 Term of the Court will begin, as provided by law.On behalf of all the Justices, I would like to thank the Supreme Court employees for theiroutstanding work and dedication to their important responsibilities this Term. I thank the membersof the Court’s bar as well for their professionalism and cooperation.Before we rise for the summer, I have a number of employees to recognize. Collectively, theseindividuals have rendered more than five centuries of Supreme Court service.From the Clerk’s Office, Michael Duggan retired with more than 30 years of Supreme Courtservice, and Gary Kemp retired with nearly 30 years of service. From the Marshal’s Office, DannieVeney retired with more than 38 years of Supreme Court service, Earnest Hicks retired with morethan 36 years of service, and Willie Clayton retired with more than 25 years of service. ChiefDeputy Marshal Richard Nelson will retire with more than 18 years of Supreme Court service andmore than 48 years of federal service. From chambers, Michele “Shelly” Blincoe retires with morethan 39 years of Supreme Court service, Janice Harley retired with more than 36 years of SupremeCourt service, and Toni Daluge retires with more than 14 years of Supreme Court service.From the Supreme Court Police, Jeff Banaszak retired with more than 31 years of Supreme Courtservice, Bernard Bishop retired with more than 27 years of service, Eliud Rodriguez will retire withmore than 26 years of service, Arthur Mackie retired with more than 25 years of service, JeffCooper retired with more than 20 years of service, and Casey Hills retired with more than 20 yearsof service.We sadly note deaths among long-serving employees this year. Virginia Singletary passed aftermore than 41 years of Supreme Court service and Raymond Billeaud passed after more than 21years as a Supreme Court Police Officer. Moses Humes passed shortly after his retirement frommore than 22 years of Supreme Court service and more than 47 years of federal service.Robert J. Hawkins retired as the Court’s Director of Information Technology after more than 27years of Supreme Court service. Mr. Hawkins ably led a department that provides key support tonearly every aspect of Court operations. He and his team were creative, agile, and essential inallowing us to discharge the public’s work through the coronavirus pandemic.Linda S. Maslow, who has served since 2012 as the 11th Librarian of the Court, will retire thissummer after nearly 34 years of Supreme Court service. Ms. Maslow has guided our Library toembrace digital tools and resources while safeguarding its unique collection and extending atradition of outstanding responsiveness to the Justices, employees, and bar members.The Court thanks our retiring employees for dedicated public service to Court and Country.
