FollowingLeader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the veto messageaccompanying S.J.Res.11, vehicle emissions CRA. Atapproximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on passage of the joint resolution,the objections of the President to the contrary notwithstanding. Followingdisposition of the veto message, the Senate will vote on the motion to invokecloture on Executive Calendar #30 Natasha C. Merle, of New York, to be UnitedStates District Judge for the Eastern District of New York. Followingthe cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weeklycaucus meetings. If clotureis invoked, at approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation ofthe Merle nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate willvote on the motion to invoke cloture on Treaty Document 112-8 Tax Conventionwith Chile.
