FollowingLeader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business for debateonly until 11:00am. Atapproximately 11:00am the Senate is expected to vote on the motion to proceedto S.J.Res.3 A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval underchapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the InternalRevenue Service relating to "Gross Proceeds Reporting by Brokers ThatRegularly Provide Services Effectuating Digital Asset Sales" (Cruz). The Senatewill recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm to allow for weekly caucus meetings. If themotion to proceed is agreed to the Senate is expected to vote on passage ofS.J.Res.3 during Tuesday’s session. This could be followed by a motion toproceed to S.J.Res.28, A joint resolution disapproving the rule submitted bythe Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to "Defining LargerParticipants of a Market for General-Use Digital Consumer Payment Applications"(Ricketts).On Tuesday, March 4, at 9:00pm, the Presidentof the United States will address a Joint Session of Congress. Senators willassemble in the Senate Chamber at 8:20 p.m. Senators, led by the VicePresident, Secretary of the Senate, and the Deputy Sergeant at Arms, willproceed to the House Chamber at 8:25pm.DuringMonday’s session Senator Thune filed cloture on Executive Calendar #27 Todd Blanche, of Florida, to be DeputyAttorney General. The cloture vote is expected to occur during Wednesday’ssession.
