FollowingLeader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resumeconsideration of Executive Calendar #157 Elizabeth Allen, of New York, to beUnder Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy, post-cloture. At approximately11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Allen nomination andcloture on Executive Calendar #25 Hernan D. Vera, of California, to be UnitedStates District Judge for the Central District of California. Followingthe Vera cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for theweekly caucus meetings. Atapproximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on cloture on Executive Calendar#171 Jared Bernstein, of Virginia, to be Chairman of the Council of EconomicAdvisers. The Senatewill recess from 3:30pm until 4:30pm to allow for an All Senators briefing. If clotureis invoked, at approximately 5:00pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation ofthe Vera and Bernstein nominations. DuringWednesday’s session, the cloture vote on the Pitts nomination will occur at atime to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with theRepublican Leader.
