On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Congressman Byron Donalds will deliver remarks at 10:00 AM CDT on Kamala Harris’ pro-criminal policies that have made every American less safe.   While Kamala Harris wants to walk back her record of putting criminals first and law enforcement last, she has repeatedly supported gutting law enforcement budgets while releasing violent criminals and rioters back into our communities. As a candidate for president, Harris campaigned on “reimagining” the police, saying putting “more police on the streets” is not the way to make communities safer, and as a senator, applauded Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s move to cut about $150 million from a planned increase to the city’s police budget.   Meanwhile, Harris’ sympathy towards criminals has extended to promoting bail funds for now-convicted rapists and murderers. Harris encouraged people to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which bailed now-convicted rapists, assaulters, and murderers out of jail – the same criminals that Tim Walz allowed to burn Minneapolis. As a result of Harris’ refusal to prioritize public safety, homicide rates remain higher than pre-pandemic levels in most cities across the country, and police departments are struggling to hire and retain officers.   In contrast, President Trump has stood firm in his support for law enforcement. The Trump administration provided $400 million for new law enforcement hiring, established a commission to evaluate best practices for officer recruitment, and revitalized Project Safe Neighborhoods to develop solutions to violent crime. While Kamala Harris will always cave to violent criminals and the far-left fringe of the Democrat Party, President Donald J.
