Trump from the campaign trail in Arizona that would eliminate Federal taxes on overtime pay. “This would be incredibly impactful for law enforcement officers and their families,” Yoes said. “Somany officers and their families depend on overtime pay just to get by, so eliminating taxes on this income will actually help these families get ahead. This is just one of the many reasons FOP members voted to endorse President Trump—he understands the needs of working families like ours.” Speaking in Tuscon yesterday, former President Trump said, “The people who work overtime are among the hardest-working citizens in our country. And for too long, no one in Washington has been looking out for them. Those are the people, they really work. They’re police officers, nurses, factory workers, construction workers, truck drivers and machine operators." This year, Alabama adopted a temporary measure that excluded overtime wages for hourly workers from State taxes to help employers fill jobs in a tight labor market.
