Prior to President Trump’s speech, South Carolina Speaker of the House Murrell Smith endorsed President Trump. “After carefully considering all of the candidates running — including two fantastic individuals I personally know from South Carolina — I am convinced that Donald J. Trump is the only person who can rescue our nation from the disastrous policies of the Biden-Harris administration,” South Carolina House Speaker Smith wrote in a Post and Courier op-ed. Smith is one of many leading South Carolina Republicans to endorse President Trump. President Trump is endorsed by Governor Henry McMaster, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, Lt. Governor Pamela Evette, Treasurer Curtis Loftis, and U.S. Representatives Joe Wilson, William Timmons and Russell Fry.In a speech before President Trump took the stage, Gov. McMaster remarked, “These cases against Donald Trump are losers.
