We are defending the law to uphold election integrity in Florida.” Background: Leftist groups filed a lawsuit against Secretary of State Cord Byrd, Attorney General Ashley Moody, and other Floridian election officials challenging the state’s voter registration match law.The law requires certain identifying information on a voter’s registration application, such as a driver’s license or state identification number or the last four digits of a social security number, to exactly match the numbers in state and federal databases.
