The SOS Act currently has over 50 co-sponsors. McCarthy released the following statement: “Today is an important day. Not only is the Save Our Sequoias Act one step closer to becoming law, but today’s approval further showcases the broad bipartisan support this bill has received since its introduction. I am grateful to Chairman Westerman and Congressman McClintock, both primary cosponsors of this legislation, for shepherding the SOS Act through Committee. I am also thankful to the bill's co-sponsors, including Congressman Scott Peters who is the co-lead on this bill, for their continued support. I look forward to working with them and my colleagues to move the SOS Act through the House and ultimately enact it into law so that our Giant Sequoias are protected for generations to come.”TopWashington DC Office2468 Rayburn House Office BuildingWashington, DC 20515Phone: (202) 225-2915Fax: (202) 225-2908Bakersfield District Office4100 Empire DriveSuite 150Bakersfield, CA 93309Phone: (661) 327-3611Fax: (661) 637-0867Clovis District Office2187 Herndon AvenueSuite 101Clovis, CA 93611Phone: (559) 701-2530AboutContactE-Newsletter SubscriptionOffice LocationsWebsite ProblemServicesArt CompetitionCommemorative GreetingsConsumer ProtectionDisaster PreparednessFederal Business OpportunitiesFlagsFor BusinessesGovernment ResourcesHelpful ResourcesIdentity TheftInternshipsIn the Event of an EmergencyMilitary PersonnelParentsPassportsSenior Citizens' ResourcesStudent Financial AidStudentsTours and TicketsU.S. Service Academy NominationsVeterans History ProjectVeterans' ResourcesWashington DC VisitorsMediaPress ReleasesIssuesAgricultureEconomyEducationEnergyForeign AffairsGovernment SpendingHealth CareImmigrationNational SecuritySpace and AeronauticsTaxesTransportationValley FeverVeterans IssuesWaterCopyrightPrivacyHouse.gov
