I congratulate Captain Jeremy Vaughan, Captain Ben Wainwright, Chaplain David Brainard, and the countless individuals involved in both of these projects for their steadfast determination; these facilities will undoubtedly benefit those who support the mission at China Lake for years to come."Background:Since 2019, Congressman McCarthy has secured $3.7 billion in federal funds to rebuild and upgrade critical facilities and infrastructure at NAWS China Lake. The new Multi-Purpose Religious Facility and Fitness Center is the first of a series of military construction projects related to the earthquake recovery effort that is transferred back to the installation by the Officer-In-Charge of Construction.
