Brewers Rout Rays 10-1 in World Series Game 3
The Brewers scored eight runs in the fifth inning and beat the Rays 10-1 in Game 3. Milwaukee now leads the World Series 3-0.
- 8 two-out runs in one inning, a World Series first.
- 7 straight hits in the fifth set a postseason record.
- Rookie Robert Gasser faced the minimum through six innings on one hit.
- 4 for 5 for Jackson Chourio, with a stolen base.
Why it matters: Milwaukee has never won a World Series, and Tampa Bay has never won one in 29 seasons. A Brewers win Tuesday ends the series.
- 25 previous teams led a World Series 3-0; all won it.
- 8 straight postseason wins tie a record, the Brewers' latest streak.
- A sweep would match the 1976 Reds, sweeping an LCS and World Series.
