Fastrack · Dolphins Beat Jets for First Win of 2026

The Miami Dolphins beat the New York Jets 28-25 on Sunday for their first win of the season. The Jets dropped to 2-5.

21-7: Miami's halftime lead after Malik Willis scored with six seconds left.
156 rushing yards for Miami, including 103 from Ollie Gordon II.
23 of 30 for 287 yards and three touchdowns for Geno Smith.
0-8 is Glenn's record against AFC East opponents as Jets coach.

Why it matters: Miami had not held a lead all season before taking one on Sunday's opening drive. Glenn did not use his timeouts before Willis's late first-half touchdown.

Glenn said the team expected to get a stop and get the ball back.
ESPN's Mike Greenberg called Glenn's answer inexcusable and said a firing is coming.
