Trump Reportedly Asked Musk to Restore Ukraine's Starlink
President Donald Trump asked Elon Musk to lift restrictions on Starshield in Ukraine. A White House official confirmed the call to the New York Post.
Trump reportedly was frustrated speeds stayed capped during the Wednesday night call.
Speeds rose Thursday, U.S. and Ukrainian officials said, but not to full function.
The Journal reported Tuesday that Musk ordered the slowdown himself.
Trump denies involvement: "I don't know who did it, but I was not involved."
Why it matters: Ukraine's military uses Starshield to guide drones, including interceptors against Russian strikes. Ukrainian officials warned the cap would cost lives.
Musk said Oct. 14 that speed limits are decided by the military and the president.
Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick said a Musk-ordered cap would likely violate the law.
