Israel Arrests 10 Suspects in Settler Attacks on Journalist, Diplomats
Israeli security forces arrested eight suspects early Monday tied to weekend West Bank violence. That violence included an attack on Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine.
8 suspects were detained by the Shin Bet, Border Police and IDF.
Forces also seized several vehicles and cleared illegal construction.
Levine was hurt Friday during a clash between settlers and Palestinians.
Levine told Walla she suffered back and rib injuries and was robbed.
Why it matters: The arrests came after senior US and Israeli officials demanded accountability. A foreign journalist was injured, and her cameras and belongings were stolen.
US Ambassador Mike Huckabee urged prosecution "to the fullest extent of the law."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said "those responsible will be brought to justice."
Right coverage, 1 sources: The right sees a swift Israeli security response that answered US and domestic demands and was part of a broader crackdown on nationalist violence.
