Taylor Farms recalled more than a dozen jalapeño-containing prepared foods Sunday over potential salmonella contamination. The products are sold at Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Kroger, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop.

345 people across 27 states have been sickened; 36 were hospitalized.
20 recalled products carry best-if-used-by dates through Aug. 16.
Chipotle and Qdoba both stopped using the affected jalapeños.

Why it matters: The recall traces to a single grower in Sinaloa, Mexico, identified as the likely salmonella source. Taylor Farms said it learned of the contamination risk after Coast Citrus Distributors recalled its fresh jalapeños from that same grower.
