Accessibility
01Our commitment
Fastrack should be readable by everyone the news affects — which is everyone. We target WCAG 2.1 AA across the site and the Daily Brief.
02What we've built
Semantic HTML with a proper heading order on every page. Full keyboard operability with visible focus states. A high-contrast ink-on-paper palette measured against AA ratios. Text that scales cleanly with browser zoom. Motion kept minimal, and reduced further when your system asks for it.
Data visuals have text equivalents: every bias chart is backed by the full source list on the same page, so nothing is only available as a graphic.
03Known limitations
Articles we link to live on publishers' sites, whose accessibility we don't control. Some older brief editions may predate our current standards; we're working back through them.
04Feedback
If anything on Fastrack is hard to use with assistive technology, tell us: accessibility@fastrack.news. We reply within two business days and treat access barriers as bugs.
05Compatibility
Fastrack is tested on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, and with VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS.
